Store 3D microtissues in a more convenient format
InSphero’s product development team has moved the patent-pending production technology for highly uniform, scaffold-free 3D microtissues one step further: 3D tumor microtissues are now cryopreserved-figure1also available as cryopreserved products. Instead of synchronizing microtissue purchases with your experiment, you can buy a stock of products and use them whenever you
need them. This makes your life not only easier, you can also save with every purchase by taking advantage of our attractive volume discounts. Of course we made sure, that the ease of use of cryopreserved microtissues does not compromise the quality of your data. For our panel of testcompounds, the cryopreservation process has not affected the drug sensitivity of the microtissues. Like our live products, cryopreserved 3D tumor microtissues are delivered in GravityTRAP™ plates – ready use and available as needed!

Highly uniform, cryopreserved 3D microtissues delivered to you assay-ready
InSphero produces its 3D tumor microtissues in its ISO9001-certified production laboratory using the patent-pending GravityPLUS™ technology. This allows a precise control of the spheroid size well below 10% and does no require the presence of bioartificial scaffold materials. After production and quality control, the 3D microtissues are gently frozen using a proprietary process developed by InSphero scientists. You receive the microtissues on dry ice for storage in a -80 °C freezer.

Supplied to you ready-to-use
Cyropreserved 3D tumor microtissues are supplied ready-to-use in the specially designed GravityTRAP™ plate. In this format automated plate readers can easily locate and analyze microtissues. In addition, the plate is designed to facilitate media changes and compound dosing during long term maintenance. The GravityTRAP™ plate is also suitable for standard luminescent and fluorescent assays, e.g. Promega ATP, LDH, GSH and apoptosis assays.

No impact on drug sensitivity
InSphero’s innovative cryopreservation approach assures a high viability after thawing and does not have a significant impact on the drug sensitivity of the thawed microtissues. After thawing, the microtissues are allowed to regenerate for 48h under standard incubation conditions and are subsequently ready for compound addition and testing.
