3D InSight™ Tumor Microtissues for Oncology

InSphero's cancer microtissues exhibit morphological and functional characteristics that correspond to the inter-vascular regions of solid tumors or avascular micrometastasis ; in other words cell-cell contacts, cell-cell communication, cell type-specific extracellular matrix, cell-matrix interaction and pathophysiological conditions. Cancer microtissues are perfectly suited to study tumor biology with respect to growth characteristics, drug sensitivity and screening for novel biomarkers. InSphero cancer microtissues do not contain artificial scaffolds with unknown impact on drug absorbance, tumor cell response or assay performance. They are grown using the proprietary GravityPLUS™ production technology which enables robotic mass production with a very narrow size distribution of below 5-7%. InSphero's microtissues are shipped to you ready for your screening campaign in our GravityTRAP™ 96-well plate, which makes medium exchange, assays and optical readout easy and reliable.

In addition, many of these models are also available as co-cultures with NIH-3T3 cells (mouse fibroblast cell line) or NHDF (normal human dermal fibroblasts). Also, we develop 3D microtissues based on other publicly available or proprietary cell lines at very affordable cost with a turn-around time of 4 weeks. Please inquire for a quotation.
