3D Microtissue Technology Made Affordable

Straightforward Upgrade from 2D to 3D Cell-Based Assays

InSphero's 3D microtissue technology has tremendous advantages for screening of biochemical compounds. Due to the higher level of functionality and biomimicry, assays using microtissues show a significantly higher biological relevance than standard cellular monolayers.

InSphero is the first company to offer commercial ready-to-use, scaffold-free microtissues and microtissue-based assays. InSphero's 3D microtissues are delivered in a standard 96-well format, which lets them integrate seamlessly with existing laboratory liquid-handling robotics. As an additional advantage no bio-artifical matrix, which could interfere with your assay readout, is required to form the tissue. InSphero's patent-pending GravityPlus production technology allows the formation of homo- and heterotypic microtissues from a variety of cell sources without additional scaffold materials. As a result, our 3D microtissues show outstanding functionality, life time and organotypic histology.

InSphero currently employs 11 microtissue specialists in production, quality control, R&D, product management, customer support and sales. Its 230 sqm research and production facility includes a fully robotic production line for high-throughput manufacturing of 3D microtissues.
