Full-day event on 3D microtissue models for more relevant translational screening methods and safety testing.
Advanced 3D tissue models are changing the shape of in vitro testing for drug discovery and development from flat, monolayer cell culture to more complex 3D systems providing greater physiological relevance. The inaugural New Frontiers Conference aims to establish an international forum in which to discuss integration of advanced 3D models throughout the drug discovery and development process, with an emphasis on translational approaches, challenges, and successes. This one-day symposium will include sessions on current state-of-the-art 3D model systems for drug discovery and toxicology/safety testing, including keynote and invited speakers representing industry, regulatory, and academic perspectives on each topic. Join the discussion in the inaugural 2016 meeting, and help shape the direction of advanced in vitro models. Poster abstracts submitted by September 2, 2016 will be considered for one of six attendee podium presentations.
